Who We Are

How we collaborate

AiMHI is designed to be collaborative. We work in partnership across health, education, gender, and water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH) sectors to align on shared measurement priorities, co-develop guidance and tools with experts and country stakeholders, and support adaptation and uptake of indicators in different contexts. We prioritize the generation of rigorous evidence that addresses identified gaps and is needed for decision-making related to policy, practice, and investment.

Independently and through AiMHI, collaborators continue to build and expand partnerships. By connecting different kinds of expertise – including topical, contextual, methodological, and sectoral – AiMHI aims to strengthen the evidence base and encourage menstrual health research collaboration globally.

Global MHH Monitoring Group

A collaboration of menstrual health experts, in consultation with national experts and monitoring stakeholders in four exemplar countries, led development of the Short List of Priority MHH Indicators. To view the full list of experts who contributed, please see Annex 5 of the Green Paper and the Priority List of Indicators for Girls’ Menstrual Health and Hygiene: Technical Guidance for National Monitoring.

Global Advisory Group

A Global Advisory Group of monitoring experts supported efforts to develop the Priority List of MHH Indicators by providing inputs regarding key measures/indicators for selected priority areas of expertise. Please see Annex C of the Green Paper for the full list of members.
